EleMental: A First-person Shooter - Kindle Fiction

EleMental: A First-person Shooter
by Steven O'Connor

Young adult sci-fi fantasy series about video games of the future - and yes, there truly are techno dinosaurs.

Winner of the Young Adult Fiction for manuscript development at Varuna Writers' House (Australia's only national writers' centre).

The story:
One moment you're sitting at your desk, the next you're battling something half-dinosaur, half tank.

Set in 2050 in an unnamed city, three teenagers, Willis, Zeb and Arizona, encounter a deadly new virtual reality 'v'game' called EleMental that has been deliberately designed to be highly addictive to keep v'gamers playing. But the v'game has a by-product no one was ready for: gameblur - the confusion of reality and virtuality.

When Zeb disappears, Willis and Arizona set out to find him and become hopelessly lost in a world where what's real and what's virtual are constantly blurred. Grimble Dower, the developer of the EleMental v'game, has harnessed gameblur to create the world. It's a world filled with monsters and boss challenges. The teenagers fear they will be lost forever in his terrifying world.
