As the book progresses and politicians vie for their votes in the upcoming midterm elections, the characters in Changing Course begin to learn about and debate a series of ideas that they hope will grow the economy more quickly, create more jobs, improve the lives of the people they care about, and end what they believe is quickly becoming America’s “new normal.”

Meet Debo Ayeni  

Debo Ayeni was born in Brooklyn, New York, and lived in Wisconsin, Michigan, and California before attending the University of Maryland School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland and eventually settling in Bethesda, Maryland. Mr. Ayeni has always been passionate about writing, and was motivated to write "Changing Course: Ending America's New Normal" after witnessing the significant challenges his friends faced during the financial crisis that began in 2007, the Great Recession that followed, and the slow economic recovery that took place once the recession finally ended. Mr. Ayeni welcomes feedback on "Changing Course: Ending America's New Normal" and invites readers of the book to post any comments or questions that they have to its discussion forum.
