“Outside the Dome” is a futuristic romance short story. The domed City in which Sophie lives is the last city in what was once the western region of the United States before the Ice Age changed everything. Sophie escaped from the City to free herself of its rigid laws. But she is drawn back to the outskirts of the City, because Daniel--the man she loves and left--is still inside the dome. A shorter version of this story appeared in the 30th Anniversary anthology published by the North Texas chapter of the RWA.

"Outside the Dome" also includes “Haven,” a science fiction short story about a sentient being floating in space, seeking a world to replace the one he lost. The book also includes a six-chapter excerpt of “Deadly Syndrome,” a romantic suspense/ thriller.
