In order to fully explain just what The Arba is, Lawler has to explain the very origins of man on earth to Freeman. Thus begins an epic saga that traces humanity from a time before Adam and Eve up to the present day. Through the telling of the tale, Freeman is made aware of a creation so vile and evil that the earth was completely destroyed in an attempt to eradicate the infestation; Freeman learns about the Nephilim.
