Despite a wide variety of life experiences, Scooter retains an aura of innocence as he wanders through the red dust, never really one with it, and instead always dreaming of the brief visions that have, seemingly randomly, flashed before him - of eternity, of love perhaps, or even something more indefinable and ungraspable than either - while Djill just dances through the universe, without reflection.
