FreeBookDude.com is lucky to be involved in a very unique idea to get a book into the hands of Robert Pattinson (yeah, the actor). Instead of us telling you about it, here is author Mary Twomey to talk about her devious plan and how you can be part of history.


    Writing a book is only half the battle these days. Marketing it its own three-headed dragon that never seems to respect the fact that the pen is supposed to be mightier than the sword.
    That being said, when an idea to spread your book around comes creeping into your frontal lobe, you can’t ignore it, no matter how ridiculous that idea may be.

    Jack and Yani Love Harry Potter is a romantic comedy for people who love Harry Potter and Twilight. It’s also for readers who loath them, and all things young adult fiction. In my book, Yani decides to take herself on a tour across the United States and visit all the places mentioned in her favorite books. She snaps photos in Forks, Washington, and even goes down to spend a day at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios, Florida.

    Now I’ve decided to send physical copies of Jack and Yani Love Harry Potter on a similar quest.
   
    The plan is called "Yani Loves Rob". Robert Pattinson is a character in the books (and a real life person). The goal is to get the book into Robert Pattinson's hands.

Here's how it works:
I'm sending out twenty copies of Jack and Yani Love Harry Potter to twenty of my most fun friends, avid readers and bloggers. They have two weeks to read the book and pass it on to someone that either they think might know Robert Pattinson, or someone who can at least keep it in circulation and would enjoy the book. When you get the book, there are instructions inside telling you to log onto my website and submit your zip code. Then a pin will appear on the map, the facebook page linked to the map will update, and the twitter feed will let the world know that book #13 (or whatever) has shown up where you are. Then you can follow your book around the world, and hopefully, into Robert Pattinson's hands. The book that reaches him will win a prize for everyone who passed that copy along.
