One bad grape, or banana, can potentially ruin (or even rot) the entire bunch. One bad apple, or potato, if left among a group, can do the same to an entire bag. But do we stop eating grapes, or bananas, or apples, or potatoes because of this? Well, maybe for a time. Spiritual abuse is real. If ignored it will spread to taint each life it touches. It has the potential to destroy churches and often leaves members with scars. When a person realizes a church is diseased, he or she will often see a need to sever the relationship. Sometimes we are forced to remove the bad spots before they can penetrate our lives. As a result, we incur wounds that will heal into scarred reminders. It is my hope that the poetry in this book will lead you down the path of recovery to restored joy. It is my prayer that you will enjoy, once again, a bountiful feast of all the fruits and vegetables without experiencing the bad taste that was left in your mouth. May you once again savor the sweetness of your salvation.
