Fourteen year old Skylar and her younger brother and sister are being dropped off at their grandparent’s house for the summer, so their parents can work through their problems. Skylar is against this trip from the start, she’s sure she will be bored-to-tears all summer, but she couldn’t be more wrong. Who has time to be bored when your grandparents don’t act human, they seem to be hiding something in the basement, you’re beginning to wonder if the neighbors even exist and you start a summer romance with a guy you met at a nearby gas station? But as weird as things are, they get much stranger when Skylar overhears her grandparents’ conversation and discovers they are planning to get rid of her! She knows she’s running out of time to save herself, but now that her younger brother is beginning to change and act just like her grandparents, she realizes she must act quickly to protect herself and her siblings. As she tries to figure a way out, she realizes that nothing is as it seems and she can’t trust anyone if she plans to get the three of them out safely.
