Zombie Confidential (Bloodlines #2.5)

Author Suzan Harden possesses the delightful gift of granting her reader’s immediate suspension of disbelief. From page one, I had no difficulty at all believing in a Los Angeles with vampires, ghosts, and yes-zombies. Not brain-eating, shuffling, moaning zombies either, but a zombie tabloid reporter-who just happens to be yes, dead, but due to the benefit of nanites, is still fully functioning (her boyfriend is a high level vampire) and has a tremendously huge appetite: for food, not for brains.

Finding the top-runner nominee for Best Actor dead at his friend’s Malibu home, Zombie Samantha is distraught, and more so to discover his ghost. Josh Williams insisted he did not overdose; but if he didn’t, then who caused his death? Or what? Ghostly Josh and Zombie Sam will stop at nothing to discover the cause—and right it if they can.
