A young man, Yashua is sent by his grandfather to join a mercenary group in the Taifa Kingdoms and learn under a Sufi Master. After learning the ways of the mystic warrior, he is joined by a thief, a giant and a little princess that go on a quest to find a Ring and save a Kingdom.

Meanwhile, a Nameless King arises from the North of the Iberian Peninsula, uniting the Christian Kingdoms to conquer Moorish Spain.

Author's Note: In this alternate history, the year is 1094 CE, the Taifa Kingdoms are still intact and the First Crusade has yet to be called. The Taifa Kingdoms was the result of a split up of petty dominions after the fall of the Cordoban Caliphate. Before its collapse it was a nation of tolerance between Muslims, Jews and Christians alike, housed the highest literacy rate in the West, medicine and philosophy flourished and it was known as one of the most advanced societies of its time.
