Englishman Simon Cartwright has had a terrible year, but vows to end it on a high. Follow his journey into the darkest corner of Eastern Europe, and the deep shadows of the Carpathian Mountains, as he chooses an alternative to spending Christmas home alone; Christmas at Castle Dracula...who knows - perhaps even Santa Claus will make an appearance.

About Requiem for the Dead:
Author Xander Buchan, best known for his novel Dracula Rekindled has embarked on this new short story series, basing it loosely on some of the people and places from his acclaimed novel.

Each bite-sized instalment is entirely self-contained, and written in a style reminiscent of Bram Stoker’s work. It is intended that these stories provide the reader with a quick thrill, but also provide a taster of the larger reading experience that can be found in Dracula Rekindled.
