It had begun so innocently back in 1960s when the teenage Cheryl escaped Missouri for a life of freedom in San Francisco and then moved to Los Angeles with her best friend, Norma, for the experience of a lifetime. Young, adventurous, and beautiful, the parties and opportunities soon bubbled over into a champagne mix of fun and fame.

Now, the cocktail of money and movies has become her identity, and she continues to be tortured by the industry’s hangovers. In spite of the fact that her agent is pushing her newly found “hot” status, her plastic surgeon is keeping her line free, and her therapist is providing some much needed medicine, there’s a seismic shift in her heart caused by a crank caller who is forcing her to address her insecurities and face her past.

It’s time to face the demons…but not now! There’s only two weeks before the Awards ceremony! All Cheryl needs is for everything to go perfect, that’s all!

Her journey to the red carpet is fraught with one disasterous and ridiculous event after another until she trips and falls in the most spectacular way…right into the character that she portrayed and which gives her the biggest role of her life: her true self.
