Liana was still in a daze as she walked towards the village. The image of a giant dragon was burned into her memories. Her bare feet hardly felt the sharp needle from the trees or the jagged pieces of shale that peaked through the forest floor. The dragon had wanted her to go to the village so she was going. It was the only thing in her mind aside from the image of the dragon just sitting there. When she had first opened her eyes and seen the dragon she had expected to be eaten. Liana had lost everything to the bandits so she didn't have a reason to live. Death didn't frighten her. In fact she had almost hoped that she would die and be reunited with her family. A tear fell unbidden as the memories of what had happened flashed by her mind's eye.
Liana came to a road and began following it toward the village. She walked down the road until it took her to the center of the village. Here she found herself surrounded by several suspicious villagers. She looked at them without fear or any other emotion for that matter. A low murmur of voices surrounded her as the villagers scrutinized the stranger.
