Creative & Practical Money Saving Ideas (How to Go Green Vol. 1)
by Janet Visloski Strang
We all want to save money (and keep harmful chemicals out of our home, garden, etc.) and store bought cleaning supplies are very costly even when using coupons. Our ancestors made their own cleaning supplies from products in their pantry that worked just as well or even better than what is available today and were not harmful to their health. Use products already in your home like vinegar, baking soda, lemons/lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide, etc. to clean and deodorize naturally AND your savings will add up!
Also included are ideas for re-using items from around your home for another purpose. For instance, used coffee grounds and orange peels spread around your garden will keep the cat from using it as a litter box and the grounds and peels are a good fertilizer, too. Or keep an old telephone book handy and use the pages as disposable clean up "rags" for cleaning up pet throw up or pet waste. Tear out sheets as needed.
"Green" cleaning recipes are included, too!
