Arizona's Yesterday Being the Narrative of John H. Cady, Pioneer
by Basil Woon and John H. (John Henry) Cady
John Cady's reminisces of his life in the Arizona Territory between 1870 and 1915 are full of cowboys, Indians, gamblers, outlaws, lynchings and all the things we find exciting about the early days on the frontier. A few things are probably embellished but are accepted in the spirit of the telling. One of his wives was a "contract bride" and after the five year contract expired, they just went their separate ways. This personal history nevers bores and usually facinates the reader.
