Death, the final, triumphant lover
FreeBookDude.com loves helping indie authors and readers meet, but indie artists have just as hard of a time finding an audience as indie writers sometimes. That is why I was happy when Dan Fox replied to a Reddit posting asking for guest posters for our October Horror Event.Dan began working on a new project to debut on FreeBookDude.com and I am happy to showcase it here today.
In my mind, I picture a different Halloween than plays out these days. This classic idea of Halloween brings with it the classic monsters of yesterday that we all know and love. This classic scene from the original Dracula shows Bela Lugosi getting ready to dine on blood.

You can find this, and many other awesome pieces from Dan Fox on his website, including these pieces from Dawn of the Dead and Beetlejuice. If horror art is not your thing, Dan may have a piece for you in his genre crossing gallery. Check it out and tell him Free Book dude sent ya!
About the Artist
Dan Fox is a UK self taught artist studying the world of film through hand drawn art. Mainly focusing on graphite and pencil work, I recreate screenshots in ways that capture the motion of the film. Having grown up with Horror films playing an important part in developing the visual mind, I thought it was time to go back and analyse iconic scenes - their compositions, movement and how the story can be told without sound or motion. I created this study of Bela Lugosi's Dracula ["Death, the final, triumphant lover."] as an emotive look at physical contact and the irrational influence of Hollywood on love and romance. I also have a wide range of other styles, work and commission opportunities available.Dan's Links
