The prologue is set in Albany, New York, with an arrogant selfish man named Bo Reynolds whom
finds himself thrown into a perilous situation. The attack on the United States
of America begins, and Bo must save his own life and those around him.
The first chapter moves ahead five years and is set during the time of a war-torn
America. Bo finds himself on the outskirts of Albany, trying to survive within
post-apocalyptic surroundings and its population of undead. He seeks to
endeavor in the face of long odds and nearly overwhelming obstacles, which take
the form of flesh-eating zombies.
A beautiful young woman named Lynn frees Bo from danger. Together the two set out in an
attempt to find safety inside Tate Estate, but unfortunately, find themselves
trapped within the boundaries of the mansion and forced to fight alongside Cassius
and Tony whom are also held prisoner. The unfortunate four must play a deadly
game of survival against hordes of hungry zombies in an attempt to win their
freedom or face a brutal death.
Mr. Tate, a cruel, evil individual and proud owner of Tate Estate was once a poor man whom
worked his way to the top, but now has thoughts of becoming a member of the
senate within the New World Council flourishing within his mind. Mr. Tate
entertains the greatest reality game, which will be so vicious that not even
the strong know if there is an end. With evil intent, he terrorizes his
servants and orders them to release wave after wave of zombies into the mansion
until something far worse is unleashed.
While the contestants are struggling for their survival in the rooms below, the rich are
upstairs watching the bloodshed on a large screen television. They indulge
themselves in food and drink while enjoying the entertaining reality show in
which they paid so much to view.
Rufus, Mr. Tate's obedient pet, fulfills his master's ever wish, but soon a feeling
infiltrates his heart, one he has never felt before. When love finds its way
within the mansion, all will do what they can to keep it there.
Despite Bo's selfishness, his underlying goodness provides a satisfying conclusion to the
book. But one must ask, will Bo survive, or will the reader become surprised at
the ending's outcome?
